Foie gras party !

L’autre jour, je ne sais plus quand, peut-être lundi, avec Guillaume et Armand (un Français qui vit comme nous à Grafton) on a pu déguster un très bon petit foie gras français dans le petit jardin de notre résidence… En fait, cela a pu se réaliser grâce à Armand, qui bosse pour un traiteur français à Devonport… Ce soir là, il avait ainsi réussi à nous ramener une boîte de 180 grammes de foie gras, et avait en outre acheté un délicieux Chardonnay du Marlborough… Voilà, on avait nos toasts, notre foie gras et notre vin blanc pour l’accompagner, et on prenait l’air frais d’une fin d’été à Auckland sur notre petite terrasse… Et on était probablement les hommes les plus heureux au monde, à ce moment là !
Donc, Armand, si tu nous lis, merci encore !

The other day, I don’t remember when, maybe on Monday, we savoured an excellent French foie gras with Guillaume & Armand (a French guy from Grafton like us) in the little yard in front of our hostel... We could do this thanks to Armand, who works in a French restaurant, in Devonport... So on that evening, he brought back from the restaurant 180g of foie gras, as well as a delicious Chardonnay from Marlborough... That’s it, we had our toasts, our foie gras, and our white wine to go along with, and we were taking fresh air from an end of summer night in Auckland in our little garden, and we probably were the happiest men on earth... So, Armand, if you read this, thanks again !
